Journal One

January 5, 2012

Okay, I read somewhere that keeping a journal is good to decrease the amount of stress in a persons life. I also read that exercise is a good way to combat stress as well. Clearly I am quite lazy as I would rather blog my life, then get my butt into shape. (Baby Steps) Anyways, I am going to keep a journal here in this place, to blog the boring and mundane aspects of my life.

I recently started collecting magazines. More so, fashion magazines, but not limited to that. I just added a Vogue Spain issue to the mix. I just started this year so I don’t have that much accumulated yet, I find I am spending a lot of money on them. Which is good and bad at the same time. It is a bad thing for obvious reasons. I should not be wasting my money, plus I don’t have that much money to begin with. It is good, because I actually have an interest (see hobby) now. Something that excites and intrigues me. I am building a collection. I do need a better place to store these magazines though.

In terms of my job. I am still working at Kumon which is like three times a week. It is a good starting job. I would like something full time, that way I would not have to feel guilty when spending money. Although I don’t usually spend lots of money anyways (I am not a big spender) but I would like a steady consistent job just to occupy my time anyways. I am starting back at work on Monday as I return from the holidays. So I may be busier than, might not have time to update my journal. We will see how it goes. Lets see how 2012 treats me. I make a vow to be happier, do more things that I want to do, and try not to stress as much.

Suburban Dream

Suburban Dream

I just wrote for you to see
that its my deepest sympathy
that this tangled web we weave
is freed

Its just not my suburban dream
to sit at home with cup-a-tea
this is just not who i can be

I plead my insanity,
I have lost all humanity
because i know that this just too mean

I hope that you do not be
angry or beligerent
I know i have done bad and its me

I deserve all your cruelty
I have failed yes I know its me
But I say it once and then ill leave
It just was not my way to be

I can not for the sense of me
Figure out where I can be
You deserve to find your calm and peace

Anna Sui

This is the first time that I found dresses from Anna Sui’s collection wearable. Most of the time they are precious and very folky gypsy, and this case is no exception, but I really found these two dresses beautiful.

Celine

A pretty flowy dress, which is no fuss, but very easy and lax. Best worn by tall thin things.

Jeremy Scott

This is the perfect example of a fun dress. It can look cheap and tawdry if styled wrong, with dark hair, and a stylish leather jacket, cropped of course, I think this dress would make a good party dress. It is somewhat hard edge, but lets admit it, it is sleaze at its best. It can only be worn with an unapologetic attitude. The kind that doesn’t care if their dress is made of popcans, because they know they are hotshit. Yes exactly

Oscar De La Renta

ODLR is always feminine classy and expensive, and I feel like by choosing a black dress from that collection it automatically gives it a darker edge to the dress. This dress is still gorgeous and I do like darker colours so I love the way this dress is presented, in a simple yet clean way.

Valentino

Valentino couture has bee going through some changes. But I do like the frail look to these two dresses, almost like they are pieced together, they provide a very innocent look, almost youthful but also sexy like a young lolita.

Where to start. She was absolutely in love with Craig and they were very happy together. He had just proposed and they were a newly engaged couple and happy as ever. He took her camping which was something he loved doing, and she kind of tagged along with and it was slowly growing on her. She never expected to leave the campgrounds an engaged woman though and that was exactly what happened. Craig proposed to her in the middle of the wild and it was not how she imagined it at all but it was perfect. She was completely bare, without makeup and looked horrible, and he looked at her in that simple way that she was, probably looking her worst covered in all that muck, and he stared into that monstrosity of a mess and still proposed, so I guess it was a good thing that he did it that way. He seemed not to mind. He was very happy. He was an easy going guy, one of those guys who was just always happy, always in a good mood, very high spirited and just cheery. Which was good, not to say she was a downer, she was at times, but she was for the most part high spirited as well. They made a very cute couple. They got along amazingly, they were both easy going, so she got along with his friends and family and he fit right in with her brother as well. They were just two friendly people, it never seemed to simpler. No one really stressed, they never really did fight either, which was quite an accomplishment, because they were dating for like two years and not a single fight, most couples fight sometimes. They teased but they never were seriously in a fight. There were rumours that he was cheating on her, but she felt she dealt with that situation in a very loyal and trusting way. She trusted him and didn’t believe the rumours, and she really didn’t think that he was cheating on her. They were madly in love with each other, and she didn’t think he needed to cheat on her. They were happy together and it was as simple as that. She didn’t need to complicate it, she didn’t need it to be complex or confusing she just wanted to enjoy the time together. And that they did. He was very outdoorsy, they would go on vacations and camping, and kayaking and do all kinds of fun stuff together and she liked it. They enjoyed themselves, whether on a beach or wherever they were both very light hearted, they laughed at themselves and were very openly affectionate with each other. They did not take themselves seriously which was a good thing because he was an actor and she was a model and they could have been fake and stuffy but they weren’t at all. And she considered herself a very lucky girl and he constantly told her that she was too good for him, they were both in love with each other which was good. He was an absolute gentleman, she loved him and his family was great as well, and they were perfect for each other. Her brother even approved because Craig was just so likeable. Craig and her brother got along well, not that her brother was hard to get along with, he was intimidating as most guys told her, and he was rightfully protective, but it was just perfect how everything fit perfectly.

Chanel

The Chanel presentation was exquisite this season. They did present some wearable looks including many denim bottoms. The denims they presented still managed to look very chic and ‘chanelesque’ and they were paired with beautiful tops as well. A good designer should always be able to produce a good pair of denims, in my honest opinion.

Michael Kors

Simplicity was a big trend on the runways this season, and no one does simplicity better than Kors himself. There was a certain refined zeal towards the Michael Kors collection. Something both attainable yet fashion savvy that echoed throughout his collection. It wasn’t just a trend that he sent down the runway it was an entire lifestyle.

Balmain

Balmain continued faithful to its sexy roots and turned out some interesting pieces. The house of Balmain has always been known for being sexy and this season was no different. The inky American flag prints were definitely one of the more sexier pieces of the collection

Pucci

Pucci definitely delivered this season with a very strong presentation. The collection was sexy with an heir of sophistication and European privilege. The dresses had very sexy drapes and lengths and went back-to-basics in terms of putting together sexy ensembles.

He had maintained quite a stable head throughout all of this. It wasn’t that hard to do. Some people let it get to their heads, he wondered how they could not keep it together. He was still the same old pisshead that he always was. He didn’t really pay it much thought. Although the media had a field day with him. He didn’t care so much that people took pictures of him getting piss drunk every weekend. He didn’t feel too bothered that he would get kicked out of bars for starting fights either. He had a group of friends who he loved to be around, and could care less if the new crop of celebrities did not appreciate his behavior. He had a great girlfriend and a loving family. He did not need much more than that. He had recently decided with his girlfriend that they would move to the UK. It was quite a decision. She was Canadian, and had family in Toronto, but she lived out of LA, which he was doing as well at the moment. The two decided to settle down and find a place in London. It would move him closer to home, and it was just as far as LA was from her home anyways. In terms of career he never thought too much about it. Something would come up he was sure of it, just wasn’t sure what at the moment. His face was still pretty scratched up, he had a chunk missing from his nose. But all in all everything healed quite nicely. He had a bit of a shady forehead from when he got banged up last time, but make up usually covered that. Considering he was a scrapper he managed a nice touch up and was ready to go. But at the moment he had nothing on the horizon in terms of gigs. It was still okay though, he was still in the media, attending events and so on, so all hope was not lost. He was not panicking yet. His girlfriend was racking up jobs though. She was a dancer and was a behind the scenes worker for Burlesque, and she was invited to all the premieres so that gave them something to do for now. He liked the change in roles, how she was the one who was posing for all the cameras and he took the backseat. He was actually proud of her as well. He liked seeing her smile and be happy when walking the red carpets. Her part was not very big, she did choreography and worked as a backup dancer, but she felt great about it, and it showed. She worked as a dancer and a choreographer for a long time, but it was just now that she was getting a lot of attention about it. The two had been dating for about six months. She was as sweet as pie, and that was why he loved her. She was just so cute, and beautiful, and such a positive person. He wondered sometimes if she would get bored of him. They were a mismatch of a couple. He was a bit of a lads lad. Was a bit of a scrappy kind of guy, not too serious, liked to go for a drink, and have a laugh. They had fun together and never really got into any serious fights. They both were easy going, and it was a genuinely loving relationship. Although they had not been going out for too long, the relationship had always started off as a long term one. They both knew in a sense that it was something special, but there never was any pressure. They laughed (mostly he laughed) when she would suggest the idea of marriage and kids, he would always play jokes about it, and then in the end say something like, in due time. He wanted kids of course but wasn’t going to rush into it. They were both still very young, and she was the typical girl who wanted to get married and have lots of kids. She was turning 22, and far too young for it all. They needed to enjoy the relationship some more. He was the older one, about four to five years her senior, and in a sense he did call the shots in the relationship. She listened, and he was not being unreasonable. Most of the time he looked out for both of them. And everything was working nicely thus far. He was liking his position that he was in, and was sure she was too.

Prints are something that I usually tend to avoid, as it is either hit and miss with them. Some of them are absolutely beautiful, while others can be eye-sores. This season we were bombarded with lots of different prints, some of them I took to, others not so much as I am a bit picky when it comes to that. I don’t mind prints in small doses, or in accessory to something else.

The simple dress with a radiant print was quite captivating, I think this would be something that some people would not dig, but I found it to be not too intense, partially because of the length of the dress. If it was floor length it would be a whole lot of that print and I don’t think it would work. But this is one of the dresses that I think I could handle.

I also did not mind the print of the skirt in this picture. I think if you use prints with a solid colour it could work as an overall look. The print actually looks very intricate and is a testament to how fun and quirky one can get in their styling. It would not be a red carpet look as it is not that clean but definitely works as a casual look.

Simultaneously she worried about the future of their relationship and kept falling more and more in love with him. She indeed did love him, and was head over heels for him. It made her sick, she cared for him and was all lovey dovey for him it was so nauseating. But over time she became increasingly concerned about the future of their relationship. Over the past two years he had moved around from L.A. to London to France. She was realizing that this was indeed the life of a footballer. And she felt as soon as she got comfortable in one place they seemed to pack up and move him to another place. It was the life he lived. She had to be supportive of him because she obviously couldnt change that about his occupation it came with the territory. But she kept asking herself, was that the life she wanted. She loved him to death but was she ready to follow him around everywhere he went. It took devotion and committment and she didn’t like the committment to be one sided. She had such a good time with him though, and he was really committed as well it seemed, she had already met his family, and he was really sweet and caring towards her. They did lots of couple things so she really didnt have to question his committment. But she didn’t like to just follow him around like that. It made her feel like a lapdog. She loved him and in her head she was weighing if it was worth it. It totally was if he was her mr. right, but thats what she was questioning. She had her own career going really good for her. She was willing to put that on hold for him, she just didnt want to make the wrong choice. So she was very tentative around him. Things were starting to get serious, she really needed to have a straight up no bullshit talk with him. He was in Paris at the moment and she wasn’t too far filming a movie in London, but they were usually away from each other for long periods of time. When he was in L.A. they lived with each other, saw each other everyday, had sex sometimes three, four times a day. And she went from that, to not seeing him for months. She really did miss him, and she hoped he missed her as well.
